OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2011. Belarus’ consumer prices went up 8.6% no the month in June 2011, compared to 13.1% in May, 4.5% in April, 1.9% in March, 2.7% in February and 1.4% in January 2011, an official in the National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Prices increased 36.2% in January-June 2011, up from 4.1% in the first six months of 2010.

Food prices rose 8.6% in June 2011 and 36.8% in January-June, non-food prices went up 10.7% and 45.7%, and consumer services prices increased 5.1% and 21%.

In 2010, inflation accelerated 9.9%. The forecast for 2011 stands at 7.5%-8.5%.
