OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2011. Head of Karelia Andrei Nelidov has held a working meeting concerning creation of multipurpose centers for granting the state and municipal services in territory of the republic.

Igor Usynin, Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia and Minister of Finance, heads of ministries and State Committees of the republic have taken part in the meeting.

Opening the meeting Head of Karelia has reminded that creation of multipurpose centers for granting the state and municipal services in regions are specially controlled by the President and the Government of Russia.

Let us remind, that the basic idea of such centers is implementation of the "one contact" principle when the citizen neither has to receive different certificates in various state institutions and municipal authorities, nor visit different gencies, nor stand in lines. The addressee has to submit the application and to receive the result at a stated time, and all the other work including the interdepartmental coordination is to be performed by employees of the center and corresponding state and municipal authorities.

Thus, the multipurpose centers are called to promote simplification and reduction of terms of reception of the state and municipal services, increase the openness of the government, decrease the administrative barriers and the level of corruption.

As most often corruption occurs in the sphere of rendering services to the population, activities concerning creation of a network of the multipurpose centers in Karelia are included in the regional anti-corruption plan for 2011-2013.

Creation of the multipurpose centers in the republic is paid special attention to. It is planned that by the end of the year such centers will appear in every region.
