OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2011. The visit will be organized by Moldova’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the framework of Prime Minister Vladimir Filat’s official visit to Finland, Sweden and Norway. The economic mission’s objective is to intensify trade and economic relations between Moldova and Scandinavian countries, to reveal new business opportunities, to attract foreign investments in our country’s economy.

The visit’s program stipulates bilateral meetings, visits to local companies, where Moldovan businessmen will be able to have individual talks with local entrepreneurs. It should be noted that Finland, Sweden and Norway are not among the countries accounting for biggest volumes of Moldovan exports.

At the same time, they are among the largest 35 import partners of Moldova. Import from Sweden in January-May increased 2.1 times in comparison with the same period last year to USD13.9 million, import from Finland increased by 38.9 percent – to USD 6 million, import from Norway increased by 36% - to USD5.3 million.
