OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2011. Part of the project on-site technical acceptance meeting of "The Packaged Technology and Equipment Research of the Fully Mechanized Top-coal Caning in Extra-thick Coal Seam", which is One of Projects in the National Science & Technology Pillar Program during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan Period, was held in Datong Coal Mine Group, reported the press-centre of Datong Coal Mine Group. 

Thirteen experts from scientific research academy and related enterprises such as National Science and Technology Ministry, China Coal Industry Association, Taiyuan University of Technology formed a group and did an acceptance check to 10 technologies including the research technology of the high efficiency and high reliability electric-traction coal miner, the research technology of the fully mechanized top-coal caning hydraulic support in "The Packaged Technology and Equipment Research of the Fully Mechanized Top-coal Caning in Extra-thick Coal Seam" project.

"The Packaged Technology and Equipment Research of the Fully Mechanized Top-coal Caning in Extra-thick Coal Seam”was a project that was led by National Science and Technology Ministry and undertaken by both China Coal Research Institute and Datong Coal Mine Group in the National Science & Technology Pillar Program during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan Period. What's more, this project was the biggest key project in nationwide coal system in history.

During the acceptance check, the expert group went to the fully mechanized coal face in Tashan Coal Company in Datong Coal Mine Group and did an on-site test to the fully mechanized top-coal caning equipment in extra-thick coal seam. At the same time, the expert group had a deep and detailed discussion with each project team. In the experts' opinion, the successful application of the project "The Packaged Technology and Equipment Research of the Fully Mechanized Top-coal Caning in Extra-thick Coal Seam" in Tashan Coal Company achieved the innovation of the fully mechanized packaged localization technology and equipment in an annual production of ten-million-ton extra-thick coal seam, solved the technical problems such as high-production, high-efficiency, high-recovery and mining safety in super high coal seam in China, filled the technology blank in mining of the super high coal seam, made a qualitative leap in the national comprehensive mechanized top-coal caning technology.
