OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2011. Moneyweek hosted the award ceremony for the "Fourth Annual Best Board of Listed Companies Rankings in China" in Shenzhen. ICBC has been named as one of the "2011 Top 30 Best Board of Main Board Listed Company in China" and "2011 Top 10 Best Board of State-owned (Holding) Listed Companies in China", reported the press-centre of ICBC.

Moneyweek, a media under the management of 21 Century News Group, is the first large wealth management media in China. The media runs the competition every year. Professional organizations and industry experts were invited by Moneyweek to form a judging panel. The Board and governance of the listed companies in China were measured against five metrics of capital return, strategic management level, Board governance, social responsibility and market value management, in a quantitative and objective manner. The competition aims to encourage the progress of the Company Board in Chinese listed companies and their sustainable development. This year, the survey lasted for four months and went through four rounds of nomination, first review, second review and final review.

Winning the awards reflects the full recognition from the capital market and industry veterans on ICBC's focus in corporate governance and the role of ICBC Board in strategic decision.
