OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2011. Dr. K.C. Chakrabarty, Deputy Governor, RBI while reviewing the progress of Financial Inclusion in the State, in the 143rd Meeting of State Level Bankers' Committee held at Central Bank of India urged bankers to utilize this initiative as a business opportunity. Summing up the discussions, Shri M.V. Tanksale assured that banks will continue to fulfil all their commitments and work in tandem with the State Government for economic development and prosperity of its citizens.

The 143rd meeting of State Level Bankers' Committee, Madhya Pradesh was convened on 15-07-2011 by Central Bank of India, the Lead Bank of the State. The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Avani Vaish, IAS, Chief Secretary to Govt. of M.P. and (third from right) Shri M.V. Tanksale, Chairman & Managing Director, Central Bank of India. Dr. K.C. Chakrabarty, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India was specially present in the meeting, Shri A.K. Mishra, Under Secretary (FI), Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, besides Senior Officials from the State Government, Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, Other Commercial Banks and Financial Institutions were present in the meeting.

Shri B. Mondal, General Manager, Central Bank of India and Convenor, State Level Bankers' Committee, Madhya Pradesh, conducted the meeting. The meeting reviewed the performance of banks during the financial year ended March, 2011, The Annual Credit Plan for 2011-12, aggregating to Rs.42791 crores, was also released in the meeting.
