Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (“MTS” or the “Company” – NYSE: MBT), the leading telecommunications provider in Russia and the CIS, announces that the 3-months period from the registration of the Company’s share issuance report by the Federal Financial Markets Service of Russia (“FFMS”), has expired. It is expected that within two weeks’ time the additional issue of the MTS ordinary shares will merge with the main share issue. The main share issue trades on the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange ("MICEX") under ticker symbol MTSI and has a state registration number 1-01-04715-A.
