Transaero Airlines has received the results of a service quality audit performed by the Skytrax, a recognized British agency offering service quality research provided in the air transport sector worldwide. Skytrax experts conducted a detailed analysis of all major flight services delivered by the Russian airline in all service classes on short and long haul flights as well as services at hub airport.

Transaero's unique and exclusive Imperial class offered to passengers on domestic and international long haul flights received high ratings. In accordance with rigorous criteria for flight crew performance and the level and quality of comfort provided in Imperial class, Transaero received a four star rating, equal to such highly recognized leaders in air transport as Emirates, Lufthansa and British Airways.

Transaero's Business class on short haul flights, operated to countries in Europe, the Middle East, the CIS as well on domestic routes to many Russian cities, was also appraised and received a near to four star rating. Transaero's Business class on long haul flights was awarded three stars.

The service quality on Transaero's economy class short haul flights also received four stars and was the highest ranked among all economy class short haul products provided by Russian airlines audited by Skytrax. Transaero's economy class service on long haul routes received three stars.

The Skytrax star ranking audit examines than 800 areas of product and service delivery performance, both on the ground and in the air. "Transaero Airlines has continued to introduce many changes over the past 12 months, and this has resulted in being upgraded from a 2-Star to 3-Star airline," remarked Skytrax Chairman and CEO Edward Plaisted.
