OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. HPCL’s approach to Corporate Social Responsibility has been the triple bottom line approach of “People, Planet and Profit” and its CSR model is based on “Creating Shared Value”. In its endeavour to reach across to the society of less privileged, HPCL has tied up with ADAPT. ADAPT (formerly The Spastics Society of India), has pioneered services in the disability sector for more than 39 years under the leadership of founder chairperson Dr.Mithu Alur who is also a parent of a disabled daughter Ms.Malini Chib (author of “One Little Finger”).

A MoU was inked on 21.07.2011 between HPCL and ADAPT by HPCL Project Leader Mr.S.K.Kulkarni and Dr. Anita Prabhu Kinnerkar from ADAPT, in the presence of Director-HR Dr.V.Vizia Saradhi and Executive Director Mr.Pushp Joshi from HPCL alongwith Mr.Sathi Alur and Ms.Malini Chib from ADAPT. This HPCL-ADAPT partnership under the CSR umbrella will ensure that every disabled child enrolled in ADAPT schools in Bandra and Colaba is provided with quality school education and treatment as needed, in an enabling environment so that the child realises his / her fullest potential. HPCL in addition, will also support the related training of resource persons and infrastructural refurbishment.
