OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2011. Michael O`Riordan will be responsible for providing consulting services to energy, utilities and mining companies, in particular, electricity and gas-producing companies, reported the press-centre of PwC.

Michael was born in Cork (Ireland) in 1967. In 1990, Michael graduated from University College Cork (Ireland) with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce.

Michael has over 19 years of experience in providing audit services to oil and gas companies both at the global and regional level. He started his career with a small audit firm in Ireland in 1990. In 1994, Michael joined the energy practice of Price Waterhouse San Francisco (California, US) as a senior audit consultant. In 1997, he moved to Caracas (Venezuela) where he worked with the PwC Energy Assurance Practice as a senior manager for three years. In 2000, Michael joined PwC Dallas (Texas, USA), and was admitted to partnership in 2003. Since 2006, Michael has been a partner with PwC Russia Energy, Utilities & Mining Assurance Group. In 2008, Michael became the Risk Management Leader for Russia. Michael was appointed PwC Energy, Utilities & Mining (EU&M) Industry Leader for Russia effective July 2011.

Michael O`Riordan is a CPA (Texas, California), an ACA (Ireland), and an AICPA licensee.
