OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2011. In the course of the First International Youth Industrial Forum Engineers of the Future-2011 held on July 23-25, 2011 on the bank of the Baikal Lake, Vnesheconombank organized an educational service “How to Prepare and Manage an Investment Project: Vnesheconombank’s and its Partners’ Best Practice”. The service was held as part of the Educational Project “Training of Specialists – Participants in Investment Projects Implemented with the Assistance of Development Institutions”. It was focused on grounding the Forum’s participants – young engineers, students and post graduate students in investment management.

On July 21 and 22, Vnesheconombank’s representatives and invited experts from Deloitte Touche and the Eurasian Company gave lectures, workshops and business games to the Forum’s participants to tell them about main lines of  Vnesheconombank’s activity, principles and criteria of selecting investment projects at Vnesheconombank as well as methods of calculating commercial efficiency and project risk analysis. They also dealt with key aspects of business plans and financial models of investment projects as well as main mechanisms for monitoring and managing projects with due regard to changes that emerge in the course of their implementation.

All training sessions were designed to develop team skills: the service’s participants were divided into groups and carried out practical tasks on specially developed trainer investment projects in the field of mechanical engineering. The joint work of speakers and the service’s participants resulted in drawing up business plans and presenting trainer projects.

On the last day of the educational service – July 23, young engineers were given individual expert consultations on their own projects, All in all 59 people participated in the educational service. After completing the training course the service’s most active participants received certificates of the Educational Project “Training Specialists Participants in Investment Projects Implemented with the Assistance of Development Institutions”. The service’s four best participants were given a chance to do on the job training at Vnesheconombank’s investment subdivisions in 2011-2012 to further develop their projects.
