OREANDA-NEWS. August 1, 2011. The Banker, the British business magazine, gave Sviaz-Bank 25 place among leading lending institutions in Central and Eastern Europe, high enough for Sviaz-Bank to enter the league of the world’s Top 1000 banks.

The Banker puts Sviaz-Bank’s Tier One capital calculated as prescribed by the Basel Agreement at USD 682 million last year.

On December 31, 2010, the Bank’s capital in accordance with the International Accounting Standards was 41.6 billion rubles, and its capital adequacy ratio of 35.2%, within the range required by the Basel Agreement, enabled the Bank to put its plans to stimulate all types of transactions into effect.
