OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2011. According to the NBM’s balance sheet for January-June 2011, the balance sheet total of the National Bank as of June 30, 2011 totaled 27,188 mln leis, exceeding indicators of the same period of 2010 by 12.3 percent.

In the NBM’s liabilities, the volume of cash in circulation grew 15.8 percent, to 11.7 bln leis, the government’s funds (disposable cash) reduced by 9 percent, to 2,397.4 mln leis, and bank institutions’ funds increased 1.6 times – to 3,922.9 mln leis.

The NBM’s basic capital remained unchanged – 288,923 thousand leis, while reserves went down 4 times – to 232.8 million leis. According to the NBM’s balance sheet, in the bank’s assets, the volume of cash and short-term placements in banks in January-June 2011 totaled 7,388.3 mln leis, down 11.9 percent compared to the same period of 2010. The volume of investment securities increased by 46 percent, to 14.68 bln leis.

The NBM’s claims to international financial organizations decreased by 2 percent – to 2.29 bln leis. The NBM’s long-term tangible assets reduced by percent – to 17.2 mln leis, intangible assets reduced 2.3 times, to 1.6 mln leis, other assets declined 2.4 times – to 4.4 mln leis.
