OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2011. There is a new address on the Middle Urals’ provision of gas supply map: first stage of a gas pipeline in Pervouralsk has been commissioned. Residents of one a half dozen low-rise houses in Samstroi, one of the town’s regions, have assessed advantages of natural gas as a feedstock for water boilers and stoves, reported the press-centre of ITERA.

Municipal services bills are now going to be much smaller, while the quality and reliability of heat supply during heating seasons are to be much higher. Assembly and commissioning of domestic gas supply equipment is at full swing around the housing development.

ITERA Oil and Gas Company financed and coordinated construction of the gas pipeline within the frameworks of a long-term Cooperation Agreement between the Company and the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region.

"The total investment in the Project is RuR 28 million: there are over 400 houses in Samstroi. This means that about RUR 70 000 has been invested in each house, - Michael Vlasov, First Deputy Head of the Town District, explained. – Owner of a house needs to invest only RUR 6 000 for him to use ecologically friendly and affordable fuel. Implementation of the Project has become possible thanks to ITERA Oil and Gas Company, the investor, CJSC Region-invest, the General Contractor (an ITERA affiliate), and the Urals Gas Networks, the pipeline servicing company.

Construction of the second stage of the gas pipeline is to be completed in October of 2011 to allow provision of gas supply to about 500 more houses in the housing development.
