OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2011. Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO has held a meeting "Dialog of today’s leaders with leaders of tomorrow” at hotel Baltschug in Moscow. At the meeting SKOLKOVO’s founding partners, alumni and future students were present. The participants had a unique chance to ask the representative of School’s Coordination council and managing director of "Troika Dialog” Gor Nakhapetyan and professor of practice SKOLKOVO and board member of "Sibir” and "SG Trans” Alexey Germanovich their questions.

The first question was to the founding partners of SKOLKOVO: "Who is the future leader for you? And who is an entrepreneur from your point of view?” It didn’t take long for Gor Nakhapetyan to answer: "An entrepreneur is a man, who can create something, who you want to give your money to… It is a man, who is being followed by those who want to be like him. He can’t create an idea, but his talent is to take this idea and make it bring you money”.

This question broke the ice, if it ever existed. Many questions about SKOLKOVO followed. What does SKOLKOVO give its students and how does it affect peoples’ lives? Alexey Germanovich gave his answer: "SKOLKOVO is an ecosystem for rethinking”. Irina Linnik, who is an alumna of MBA-1 told, that SKOLKVO has helped her to broaden the horizons and to expand the circle of acquaintances. In this circle there are people, who you won’t meet in normal life.

But the most interesting question was still ahead. What is the most important thing at the entrance examinations? All the alumni had a different point a view on that. For example, alumnus of EMBA-1 Danila Sharapov thinks, that the most important thing is to know, why you want to study at SKOLKOVO, while alumnus of MBA-1 Dmitry Urchenko is sure, that all that matters is to be yourself.

Gor Nakhapetyan had his own answer to this question: "We are looking for people, who are not indifferent. Students have to make revolutions”. And school has to inspire. "You don’t have to teach people to chisel, you have to make them love the sea, and they will wish to build the ship themselves”, - said Gor. That is exactly what we are expecting from students of our school – to make them wish to build their own "ships”: we believe, that the dialog between the leaders of today and the leaders of tomorrow will continue in the walls of our business-school.
