OREANDA-NEWS. August 4, 2011. The branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk signed two major ship owner's liability insurance contracts with Federal State Unitary Enterprise Sakhalin Basin Emergency Department (SakhBASU).

In respect of the IGOR MAKSIMOV ship, a contract was concluded with a limit of liability insurance in amount of USD 10 million. The second object of insurance is the ROSTOV THE GREAT ship that was built in 2011. The ship was built in Yaroslavl, and will be towed to the Korsakov port on the Northern Sea Route. The limit for the second contract is USD 30 million. Previously, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company insured four other ships belonging to this owner.

Federal State Unitary Enterprise Sakhalin Basin Emergency Department is a professional rescue organization that was  established in order to: help people and ships in distress at sea; eliminate the consequences of accidents at sea; perform underwater technical (diving, hydrographic) works in ports, bays and coastal zone; perform towing of ships and other floating objects; carry out ship repair, prepare ships for one-time ferrying (along with development of technical documentation); conduct research and other works.
