OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2011. Baosteel Co.,Ltd. and the world famous OA (Office Automation) product manufacturer - Ricoh (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. (under Ricoh Japan) signed technical exchange and cooperation memorandum. Meanwhile on behalf of Ricoh Japan, Ricoh Shanghai awarded to Baosteel environmental system certificates. Baosteel becomes the first domestic steel company which signs technical exchange and cooperation memorandum with Ricoh and paases its environmental system certification. Baosteel Co.,Ltd. deputy general manager Wang Jing, Ricoh Shanghai chairman and general manager Eiichi Kato attended the ceremony, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

Ricoh Japan has strict requirements on material suppliers. In recent years, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. developed OA equipment material in line with industry needs with a high starting point, and in 2009, established cooperative relationship with Ricoh Japan's related factories in China. Last year, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. and Ricoh Shanghai signed" supply technical agreement", which is also the first supply technical agreement that Baosteel signed within OA industry. With support of Ricoh Shanghai, according to Ricoh Japan's  material standards and environmental system certification standards, Baosteel actively carried out relevant work and achieved stable and mass supply to Ricoh Shanghai.

In accordance with the signed cooperation and techncal exchange memorandum, the two sides will establish a joint laboratory, set up OA steel research and application team,  form steel material application overall technical solutions; establish normalised technical exchange mechanism and jointly promote the new material's application in energy conservation, energy reduction and environmental protection.

Wang Jing said in the speech that Baosteel would follow the development concept of "high quality, environmental management, contribution to society" and in future cooperation with Ricoh , they would create greater value together.

During the ceremony, Ricoh Shanghai presented to Baosteel Co.,Ltd. two new printing machines made of Baosteel steel.
