OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2011. Moscow Arbitration Court dismissed the claim of “Mozyrsalt” OJSC and “BPK” Ltd. to invalidate the decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 20th July 2011, FAS Russia and “Evrotrust Expo” Ltd. concluded an agreement regarding the case circumstances, where “Evrotrust Expo” Ltd. admitted violating Clause 3 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and, therefore, admitted the fact of collusion on the market of table salt.

On 20th January 2011, the FAS Russia’s Commission, investigating the antimonopoly case, decided that “Mozyrsalt” OJSC, “BPK” Ltd., “TDS” CJSC and “Evrotrust Expo” Ltd. breached Clause 3 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” when the companies had reached agreements about the conditions of distributing salt, produced by “Mozyrsalt” OJSC, throughout Moscow and Moscow region.

“FAS Russia revealed a number of violations of the antimonopoly law by participants of the market of production and distribution of table salt – both abusing market dominance and coordinating actions of economic entities”, said the Head of the FAS Department for Control over Chemical Industry and Agroindustrial Complex, Teimuraz Kharitonashvili.
