OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2011. The international rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) affirmed the credit rating of KazTransOil JSC at BB + / Stable / -.

In its rating report S&P noted that the rating on KazTransOil is also underpinned by the company's stand-alone credit quality, which is assessed at "BB+".

KazTransOil's stand-alone credit quality is supported by long-term ship-or-pay contracts (cargo owners’ payment for guaranteed pumping volume) with oil producers, the company's favorable debt structure and maturity profile, limited competition from alternative oil export pipelines, and good prospects for oil production and export in Kazakhstan.
