OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2011. Rompetrol Group, through its member companies - Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol Petrochemicals and Rominserv has completed the recruitment and selection process of 39 university and high-school graduates from Constanta, Ploiesti, Iasi, Bucuresti and Cluj for its internship programme this year.

“Rompetrol Internship offers young people the opportunity to add priceless practical experience to their theoretical skills and to become familiar with the machinery and technological flow at the Petromidia Oil Distillery. Under the guidance of our specialists, the selected candidates will perform activities of gradually increasing complexity, will complete specific tasks and will endeavour to reach their targets”, says Anneliese Anghel, Rompetrol Human Resources Manager.

The first stage of the programme will go on from August 1st to September 30th, 2011 and will end with an assessment of the technical knowledge acquired by each participant. Thus, the best candidates will qualify for the next stage of the Internship Programme which will extend over 6 months (October 2011 – March 2012) and will enable the participants to apply their knowledge in the various fields of the oil distillery/petrochemistry industry.

At the end of this stage, the young participants will have the chance to begin a successful carrier with Rompetrol Group. In 2010, out of the 76 participants in the Internship Programme, 27 became employees of Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol Petrochemicals and Rominserv (the main contractor of the Group).

All the costs of the Internship programme (salaries, accommodation and transportation) will be covered by Rompetrol Group.

This year, by June 30th, more than 1,500 graduates of industrial chemistry, industrial automations/IT, oil processing, civil engineering, electricity and energy, finance and accounting have applied for the programme on the recruitment websites, the Group website (cariere.rompetrol.com) or directly at the Rompetrol Human Resources Department of Petromidia, as well as through the “Top Employers” Job Shop.

Since 2002, around 400 university and high-school graduates benefited from this Internship Programme and 111 of them began their professional career with Rompetrol Group.
