OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2011. MSTU students took part in the course "Business practice in Norway: Energy Efficiency and Logistics in the High North" which was organized by the University of Nordland in the city of Bodo. The participants from Murmansk, Arkhangelsk and St.Petersburg studied theory in the course compendium, visited the region’s leading industrial enterprises and met their management and also worked in groups on their own projects. After a week’s work all the groups presented the joint projects in English and provided theoretical basis for their ideas.

Apart from the lectures and practical classes the group did some sightseeing in the city of Bodo and outside it. The students visited Bodo fortress, the city aviation museum, the world’s strongest tidal current Saltstraumen located in the narrow channel between two fjords, and a mountain glacier. The way from Murmansk to Bodo and back home was rather tiring and lasted 24 hours, but all the students are happy with the trip. They have gained unforgetable experience and would like to thank the program coordinators Dmytro Yakovenko and Nadezhda Surovtseva.
