OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2011. LLC “Buguruslanneft” (one of TNK-BP group of companies) has initiated a number of investment projects for drilling brownfields in the Orenburg Region to bring on stream new hydrocarbon deposits, said its General Director Igor Kristian, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

“As part of the additional investment plans, we intend to drill 14 wells this year instead of 12 as we had originally planned,” Kristian said.

The subsidiary has already commissioned one new well adding 25 tons of incremental daily crude production at the Krasnoyarskoe field, which has been under development since 1956. Another 9 wells are planned to be drilled at the same field.

In 2011 the subsidiary resumed development of the Shkolnoe field which was brought on stream in 1998. One well is being completed and another three wells are expected to be drilled by the end of the year. Drilling at the Novo-Mikhailovskoe field being, under development since 1993, will begin in September.
