OREANDA-NEWS. On September 27-30, 2011 the Skolkovo Foundation and ROSATOM will hold a joint school-workshop on new structural and functional materials at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO (Moscow Region, Odintsovo District), reported the press-centre of ROSATOM.

The school-workshop is to discuss a topical issue and assess priority areas on the field of development of new structural and functional materials (NSFM). The event main objective is to project and identify priority areas in the field of new structural and functional materials for a timeline of 15-20 years and discuss existing global, national and corporate centers of excellence for new material development.

The school program includes presentations by representatives of the world’s largest technology companies who are customers of new materials, engineering companies who are key stakeholders of the new material development market, and representatives of centers of excellence in the field of new material development. Papers presented by the invited speakers will lay a foundation for group discussions, supplemental presentations and debates. 

Key participating organizations are organizations of ROSATOM, leading technical higher education universities, large foreign technology companies, research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of Russia’s largest technological corporations and development institutes, representatives of foreign leading laboratories and universities, companies participating in innovative projects of the Skolkovo Foundation in the field of NSFM (including potential ones).

The school organizers are ROSATOM and Nuclear Technology Cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation.
