OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2011. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid RUB 1.15 million to a self-employed entrepreneur in the Kaliningrad region due to full loss of insured crop.

The insurance object was winter rape insured in autumn 2010 by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, Kaliningrad branch. The policy covered the following acts of nature: hail damage, poor humidification, a combination of natural settings that lead to frost-killing of winter crops, a combination of natural settings that lead to damping-out of winter crops, a combination of natural settings that lead to lifting of winter crops, critical decrease of air and/or ground temperature during active vegetation or harvesting, ice layer on the ground surface, snow covering that prevents harvesting, strong wind (including wind with dust or sand), excess humidification, intense rain, long presence of ice water (damping-off), and lack of warmth.

A combination of natural settings that have led to full frost-killing of 2011 winter crop became the insurance event. As a result of examination the situation was acknowledged an insurance event and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid indemnification to the farm in accordance with the policy conditions.
