OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2011. Azerbaijan has been remaining a net exporter of electric power for already three years. The country continued reduction income from its export this July.

The State Customs Committee reports that according to electric meters’ data, for Jan-July 2011 electric power export from the country totaled 348.608 million kWh, including 10.942 million kWh in July versus 14.079 million kWh in June, 18.069 million kWh in May and 107.307 million in April. At that, according to customs entries, it was exported 482.989 million kWh for USD 26.89 million, including 16.379 million kWh for USD 632.800 in July.

Thus, for Jan-July 2011 the country exported power at the price of USD 0.0557 and in July at USD 0.0386 per kWh. The highest export price was registered in May 2011 - USD 0.07 per kWh.
