OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2011. Russian leading automotive leasing company, Europlan has announced financial and operational results for six months 2011. For the given period with numerous lessees, Russian enterprises, organizations and businessmen, Europlan concluded 9350 financial leases of automotive transport, special vehicles and equipment for the sum of more than 14,4 billion rubles (or 506,18 million US dollars). It corresponds to an increase in business volume in 120% in comparison with the year before and it surpasses an expansion rate of sales volume of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia for the first half of 2011, on 56% (according to AEB), reported the press-centre of Europlan.

Europlan contracted 98% of new business in its main leasing segment of automotive transport and special vehicles. For the reporting period, Europlan leased 4332 light cars and 4139 lorries, buses, special transport and self-propelled machines to Russian companies. The company has expanded its regional presence, increasing the number of its offices up to 68, and has realized its business in all federal regions of Russia. Europlan has financed thousands of small Russian companies (with less than 100 employees) that presented 82% of its volume of contracts.

According to the vice-president of business development Alexander Mikhailov, the second quarter was marked by a considerable recovery in the car leasing market. “We notice increasing demand on leasing vehicles and machines from different businesses. We try to satisfy it by providing the most interesting offer in our industry. For our clients’ convenience we have launched a special program – “Europlan Fuel”. The second quarter has become more effective for us, the volume of leasing contracts has become a third more than in the same period of 2010, - he cited. – By the end of the year we intend to enhance our indexes and, being the leading car leasing company, to overpass the record of the industry in 2008 of 15106 transport means”.
