OREANDA-NEWS. September 1, 2011. Apranga Group, the leading fashion retailer of Lithuania and Baltic States has signed the  agreement with ALDO Group from Canada regarding ALDO retail chain development  in the Baltic States.

 ALDO Group was founded in 1972 in Montreal, Canada and is now one of the leading fashion footwear and accessories retailers in the world. ALDO  specializes in the creation and retailing of on-trend fashion footwear and  accessories for women and men.

 ALDO Group operates around 1500 stores in 66 countries across North and South  America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Approximately 900 of these  stores are corporate owned stores and 600 are franchised stores. Currently Aldo  Group is developing very fast in Europe same as most of the strongest American  fashion brands.

 Establishment of footwear retail chain is a new challenge for Apranga Group.


 During next 5 years around 15 stores are planned to be open in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The first 3 stores of ALDO will be opened in March 2012 at Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda shopping and entertainment centers Akropolis.

 Currently Apranga Group operates a chain of 119 stores in the Baltic States: 77 in Lithuania, 31 in Latvia and 11 in Estonia.
