OREANDA-NEWS. September 5, 2011. Freight One has sent 20 tanks to reinforce firefighting trains on the East-Siberian railway. The tanks are designed to be used in firefighting.

Representatives of the State Railway Security Service on the East-Siberian Railway say that the company’s contribution of tanks has resulted in a 30% strengthening of firefighting trains. The distribution of tanks by trains in different locations has made it possible to include three firefighting wagons in each firefighting train instead of the usual two. The majority of the strengthened firefighting trains are used on the northern routes of the East-Siberian Railway-Lena, Korshunikha and Yakurim stations-where a lot of timber is hauled and there is a risk of fire.

We remind you that Freight One sent more than 270 tanks to high fire risk regions in early summer. All the tanks are included in firefighting trains being used in the Siberian, Far Eastern, Northwestern and Central Federal Districts.
