OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2011. Mr Anil Kumar Chaudhary, 50, has taken charge of the office of Director (Finance) of Maharatna Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). Prior to this, he was Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) at SAIL ’s Bokaro Steel Plant, reported the press-centre of SAIL.

After completing his graduation in commerce from Delhi University, Mr Chaudhary joined SAIL Corporate Office in New Delhi in 1984 as Junior Manager (F&A), and rose to the rank of Executive Director (F&A) earlier this year with posting at Bokaro. During his long tenure at SAIL Corporate Office, Mr Chaudhary made significant contributions in the areas of treasury and banking operations, foreign exchange management, capital budgeting, cost & operations budget, financial concurrence and administration of centralised gratuity and superannuation funds.

An Associate Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) & Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Mr Chaudhary is an alumni of Faculty of Law Studies (FLS), from where he completed his bachelor's degree in law. In addition, he achieved a post-graduate diploma in Personnel & Business Management from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi University. Mr Chaudhary has attended national and international programmes on Financial and Business Management and teaches Finance and Management in institutes of repute.
