Tata Housing Development Company (Tata Housing), India’s fastest growing real estate development company, was honoured with two prestigious awards at the Construction Week Awards 2011, held recently in Mumbai. The two awards are ‘Developer of the Year’ and ‘Best Residential Project of the Year’ for its project, Shubh Griha (Tata Housing’s pioneering initiative in the low-cost housing segment).

Organised by Dubai-based ITP Publishing Group (ITP), these awards are given to respect the achievements of the Indian construction industry under the ‘Celebrating excellence in nation building’ programme. ITP publishes several weekly and monthly magazines on industries. It also organises many business and consumer events and conferences every year.

The Construction Week Awards give an excellent exposure to the achievement gained by the construction industry located in the Middle East region. All the awardees and runners-up are selected for these prestigious awards by an eminent jury panel comprising renowned industry personalities like the architect Karan Grover; Ajay Kumar Dhir, ED and CIO, Lanco Infratech; Sachin Sandhir, MD and Country Head, RICS India; Pradeep Singh, MD, IDFC Projects; S Paramasivan, ED, Afcons Infrastructure; Mangesh Koregaonker, director general, NICMAR; Raj Kalady, MD, Project Management Institute, India; Parvesh Minocha, MD, transport division, Feedback Infra Services; and Jai Mavani, ED, PwC India.
