OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2011. Company TTK, one of the largest backbone operators in Russia, announces that it has established a direct connection to the IP transit network of Global Crossing, a leading global IP solutions provider.

The reserved connection between the providers’ networks is organized at TTK’s node located in London.

”Connection to the global IP network of Global Crossing will enable us to improve our network connectivity and provide faster, more reliable and lower-latency Internet access for our customers,” said Vitaly Kotov, vice-president, head of ТТК’s Backbone unit. “We plan to expand the number of direct connections with other Tier 1 global IP network services providers, as well.”

”We are happy to exchange high-speed IP traffic with TTK and hope our cooperation will support Internet development in Russia,” said Chris Young, senior vice president of Carrier Service EMEA at Global Crossing.

Today ТТК has direct connections to networks of leading global providers such as Level 3 Communications, TeliaSonera and NTT Communications among others.
