OREANDA-NEWS. September 7, 2011. Tele2, the alternative operator of mobile communications, announces that the subscriber base grew to 267,000 users in Russia in July, 2011. The subscriber base of Tele2 Russia now totals 20 million users.

Tele2 continues to actively increase the number of subscribers in all regions covered by the network in Russia. Tele2 deserves its reputation as that of a company with the highest growth rate of a subscriber base on the market. In the last 10 months, the company took second place among all the Russian mobile communication operators for the number of net subscriptions. The company gained two million users in less than a year.

Dmitriy Strashnov, President of Tele2 Russia:

The special way that Tele2 conducts business has shown its effectiveness more than once. Thanks to a combination of great prices with quality services, more and more people are choosing Tele2, and becoming our subscribers. We plan to maintain our growth rate and increase our subscription base by at least 500,000 users this year. In order to increase the number of subscribers, we will create our own mono-brand retail services, and develop our business segment. In addition, we continue to work on improving the quality of our services, which will decrease user outflow, and strengthen customer loyalty.
