OREANDA-NEWS. September 08, 2011. GM Uzbekistan joint venture presented the restyled model of Chevrolet Captiva automobile at the Torino Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

The new model has an improved design, higher equipment level, new engine and transmission. The front part of the vehicle has changed – Captiva has got new headlights, and a changed bumper with integrated fog lamps.

If previous Captiva model had a five-step gearbox and a 230 hp 3.2 liter engine, the new model has a six-step gearbox and a 3 liter engine with 258 hp.

The car is sold with built-in parking sensors and a navigation screen. The passive safety system includes six airbags to ensure safety of the driver and the passengers.

The sales of the restyled Chevrolet Captiva are scheduled to start this month.

GM Uzbekistan also produces models Damas, Nexia, Matiz, Epica, Lacetti and Spark.
