OREANDA-NEWS. September 8, 2011.  Governor of Trans-Baikal Territory Ravil Geniatulin visited the Train of Innovation, which had arrived to Chita on September 5, and acquainted himself with the display presented by State Corporation Rosatom.

The Train of Innovation is a mobile exhibition and lecture complex housed in a special train travelling across Russia. The project participants include State Corporation Rosatom, Russian Railways (JSC RZD), JSC Rusnano, and Philips.

Rosatom’s display is accommodated in an individual exhibition car and divided into several subject-specific sections. Its visitors can familiarize themselves with materials devoted to radiation and its impact on people, as well as to learn about applications of radiation technology in industry and agriculture. The central part of the display is dedicated to safety systems used in the Russian-made VVER reactors of the III+ generation. The exhibition visitors also have the opportunity to see, through special glasses, a 3D project of Russia’s technologically advanced nuclear power plant.

The Train of Innovation will depart from Chita on September 8, 2011.

Russia’s largest uranium-mining company, Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union operated by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., is located in Trans-Baikal Territory.
