OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2011. Belarus’ consumer price index went up 6.6% on August 1-23, up 50.3% since the beginning of the year, an official in the National Statistics Committee told reporters Friday.

Pork prices rose 29.2%, beef half-cooked product prices increased 19.3%, egg prices rose 15.4%, and vegetable oil prices went up 12.3%, etc. in the first three weeks of August.

In 2010, consumer prices grew by 9.9% while in 2009 the growth was 10.1%. The forecast for 2011 stands at 7.5%-8.5%.
