In continuation with these efforts, Tata Power organized an Energy conservation camp at the Government Kannada Medium School at Mahantesh Nagar, Belgaum on 12th August 2011 under its national energy conservation program called Tata Power Club Enerji (formally known as Tata Power Energy Club).

With the increasing demand for energy and depleting natural resources, effective management and conservation is the need of the hour. ‘Tata Power’s Club Enerji’s main aim is to inculcate civic responsibilities and leadership qualities in children to better manage their tomorrow and also help them spread the conservation message to their parents, peers and society at large.

Tata Power Club Enerji camp witnessed participation from more than 150 students, who were educated and engaged through a fun-filled interactive session supported by quiz competition and games. The winners of the activities were awarded certificates and attractive prizes.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Balaraja Bhat, Head-Belgaum Plant, Tata Power, said, “Tata Power Club Enerji” is being well received by students across various cities in the country and today has become a national movement. We are happy to educate the students through an outreach program in Belgaum and believe that this initiative will play a vital role in aiding young minds who have been the core influencers in advocating energy and resource conservation.”
