OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2011. NMDC signed the contract for Coke oven Package for the upcoming 3 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Nagarnar, with the Consortium lead by M/s Bhilai Engineering Corporation (BEC). The total cost of the package is Rs.1978.00 crores, reported the press-centre of NMDC.  

Shri. N.K.Nanda, Director (Tech) on behalf of NMDC and Shri. Arvind Jain, MD on behalf of the BEC signed Contract Agreement in presence of Shri Rana Som, CMD, NMDC, Functional Directors of NMDC and other dignitaries.

The coke oven contract signed today is the largest contract signed by NMDC till date for the integrated steel plant.

The Coke Oven Plant will be executed within the overall time frame of 33 months.
