OREANDA-NEWS. September 9, 2011. The Economic Research Centre of Azerbaijan has unveiled the results of statistical studies of consumer price index for August 2011 on 10 regions of the country.

The Centre reports that the survey has shown that the Augusts’ CPI rose by 2.21% .Year-on-year inflation (against Jan-August 2010) totaled 16.44%.
“In August the prices grew by 2.37% in Baku and by 2.05% in the regions.
Year-on-year rise of prices made up 20.41% in Baku and 12.54% in regions.
Last month the largest price increase was observed for food products – (+28.01%). Then follow non-food products (3.72%) and services (4.45%),” the Centre informed.

Inflation for Jan-August of 2011 totaled 7.82%, including 12.47% on foods, 1.94% on non-foods, and 3.3% on services.
