OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2011. BNP Paribas announced the launch of a new supply chain solution (SCS) for its customers worldwide. This global platform presents both supply chain financing and cash management capabilities. It offers extensible solutions and is fully-integrated with payments and reporting. Its multi-banking, multi-currency and multi-lingual capabilities are some of the unique features found in this new platform, reported the press-centre of BNP Paribas.

In response to increased client demand and after significant market surveys and consultations with BNP Paribas' clients, this state-of-the-art platform will notably provide greater flexibility for integration with third parties with minimal implementation effort. Additionally, the platform will provide highly customisable solutions and an efficient, swift flow of supply chain information to the clientele. Concurrently, the Bank has been strengthening its dedicated sales and support teams over the last 2 years across regions.

With the launch of SCS worldwide and notably in Asia Pacific, BNP Paribas will take the opportunity to showcase for the 1st time this new platform at the 3rd Annual Asia Trade and Export Finance conference held in Singapore.

Pierre Veyres, Global Head of Global Transaction Banking, BNP Paribas said, “BNP Paribas' three main focal points are - bringing added value solutions to our clients franchise, developing flow business and reinforcing our leadership positions. Hence we focus on providing open and converged product solutions as opposed to the traditional ‘'silo'' systems proposed by the banking industry. As a major step in this direction, our new robust Supply Chain Solutions platform can customise the financial solutions for trade, supply chain and cash management needs of our clients.”

“This is a strategic investment made by BNP Paribas in our continuous commitment to provide innovative product lines, synergized with breakthrough technology, for the benefit of our clients. Corporate clients and financial institutions are confident in partnering with us because of our ability to react to market needs in a timely manner, in this case by expanding our Supply Chain Solutions capabilities,” said Chye Kin Wee, Regional Head of Global Trade Solutions, APAC, BNP Paribas.
