OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2011. Strategic priorities of modern development of Uzbekistan are to ensure a dynamic and balanced development, continuation of the deep structural transformations, diversification and modernization of leading branches of economy, formation of more favorable investment climate and business environment, commercial production of high-tech competitive products with high added value, primarily the development of export-oriented enterprises basing on deep processing of available raw materials and the use of other competitive advantages of our economy.

Key role in ensuring the country's economic development is allocated to comprehensive implementation in 2011-2015 of four interrelated strategic programs of development of industry, infrastructure, transport and communications development, reforming the financial and banking systems with a total investment of USD 77.4 billion, which will provide a 1.5-fold increase of gross domestic product.

Active implementation of structural reforms in the economy will increase the share of industry in GDP from 24% to 28%, primarily due to the development of priority sectors such as power energy, oil, gas, chemical, textile and light industries, ferrous metallurgy, car building, pharmaceuticals, production of modern construction materials. In addition, social and service sector will be further developed, an infrastructure projects and commissioning of housing to be implemented, including in rural areas.
