OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2011. The price for a liter of gas at refueling stations increased last weekends by 0.3 leis – from 8.2 to 8.5 leis for a liter. Analysts say producers have increased sale prices against the background of the deficit of this kind of fuel in the whole region observed over the last months.

It was reported earlier that liquefied gas consumption in Moldova in the first half of 2011 had grown 10.4%. Similar situation is observed on the neighboring markets – in Romania and Ukraine.

In experts’ opinion, producers’ wholesale prices for liquefied gas will tend to grow as the situation with availability of this fuel in the region hasn’t stabilized, its consumption growing.
