OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2011. On September 14, 2011 the official ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding on implementation of the project CDM-A took place at Boryspil airport.

Paul Wilson, Head of Airports Unit EUROCONTROL, Anton K. Volov, General Director of SE Boryspil International Airport, top managers of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine and of SE "UkSATSE", AOC, Kiev regional Customs authorities, KYIV Separate unit of the State border guard service, representatives of airlines and handling companies participated in the said signing ceremony.

Memorandum of Understanding on implementation of CDM (Collaborative Decision Making) at Boryspil International Airport is aimed at introduction of CDM-A system at Boryspil airport. This system has already being operated in airports of Brussels, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, Stockholm, Helsinki, Milan, Barcelona, London, Amsterdam and is focused on improvement of airport efficiency.

Being implemented in an airport, the CDM system allows taking decisions more efficiently and timely in every airport, which is covered by CDM network, significantly reducing the number of delays caused by slot-regulation and increasing the regularity of flights in general. Partners of this network can share with accurate and timely information using the CDM-A message format and promptly make decisions on standard procedures and aircraft ground handling.

According to the plan of the program implementation, on July 4 to 7, 2011, EUROCONTROL experts conducted a comprehensive training course on CDM-A system for employees of SE BIA, representatives of the home-based airlines, handling companies, representatives of Air Traffic Control (ATC), the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and AOC in the Training Center of Boryspil airport.
