OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. At the 5th Kaliningrad Economic Forum a conference is to be held for small and midsized business owners. The event is part of the ongoing Business Success 2011 project, to which Uniastrum is a major contributor, reported the press-centre of Uniastrum Bank.

Organized by the Kaliningrad region authorities and the All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization of Medium and Small Business, OPORA Russia, the forum will be held on September 12 at the Radisson Hotel at 10, Pobeda Square, Kaliningrad.

The forum will be attended by over 400 locally based SME entrepreneurs. Speakers will include the Governor of Kaliningrad region Nikolai Tsukanov, OPORA Russia President Sergei Borisov, MSP Bank CEO Sergei Kryukov, and top SME banking specialists. Following the opening ceremony, the results of the latest regional round of the Business Success 2011 competition will be unveiled and the names of the best companies in the 9 categories announced. Uniastrum Bank’s Managing Director for Corporate Business Development Kirill Tikhonov will be there to award Kaliningrad region’s most innovative enterprises.

Visitors to the forum will have an opportunity to find out more about Uniastrum’s SME banking options, including its exclusive multi-program lending package Sensible Credit. At the Bank’s display booth experts will be on hand to provide help and advice in selecting the most suitable loan schemes and applying for credit. Uniastrum Bank’s Kaliningrad branch continues to work actively with the region’s small and midsized business community. Last year’s results show its SB lending portfolio increased over 2.5-fold. In 2010 the branch signed an agreement with Kaliningrad’s Enterprise Assistance Fund, enabling go-ahead business owners to obtain loans by way of a Fund guarantee in cases where sufficient cash security is lacking.

“Taking part in the Business Success conference is another opportunity to get to know our clients better and to support their achievements with appealing initiatives for financing new projects,” says Kirill Tikhonov, Uniastrum Bank’s Managing Director for Corporate Business Development.
