OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. Agro-industrial complex is transformed into one of the main budget sectors of the economy of the state. Revenues from agrarian producers to the consolidated budget increased by 19.2% for seven months of this year.

In addition, export potential of the industry significantly increased. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prisyazhnyuk.

"Takings and charges into consolidated budget on August 1, 2011 from the industry amounted to 21.1 billion UAH for 19.2% more than in corresponding period of last year", - the Minister said.
Also the export potential of the industry improved. During January - July of this year, agricultural exports went up by 35% and made 6.8 billion USD. "The foreign trade balance is positive and equal to 3.1 billion dollars. Compared with other sectors of Ukrainian economy it is an extremely positive indicator", - Mykola Prisyazhnyuk said.

According to the Minister, within seven months of this year the import and the export of staple foods significantly reduced.
