OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. The share of fruit and vegetable export in the total Moldovan exports reduced from 11.6% for the first 7 months of 2010 to 9.5% in January-July 2011. The CIS countries, particularly, Russia and Belarus, are the biggest consumers of Moldovan fruit and vegetables.

At the same time, import of fruit and vegetables to Moldova increased by 17.2 percent in January-July 2011 in comparison with the same period last year and totaled USD 87.4 mln.

This production’s share in Moldova’s import structure went down to 3.1% in January-July 2011 from 3.8% in January-July 2010.
