OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. Today, after the corporate paid vacation, all factories and production units of KAMAZ have resumed work.

It should be recalled that KAMAZ workers’ corporate leave lasted from 7 August to 4 September. All major manufacturing units of the company – forge shops, diesel, press-and-stamping, tool production shops, including the mother assembly line – were temporarily stopped for that period. This is not the first time when this practice is applied at KAMAZ. The full stoppage of production for one month enables the company to save energy and water.

In August, services of KAMAZ engaged in sales, leasing, production planning and preproduction didn’t stop working. Units engaged in repair of process equipment and maintenance of manufacturing facilities didn’t go on vacation too. This enabled to maintain and modernize several large production facilities without their deactivating, and to prepare production for the winter season.

After the summer holiday, KAMAZ workers will have to work hard. This year sees a great volume of orders for heavy trucks from domestic and foreign partners of KAMAZ. It is planned to increase a daily production to 240 units. From the beginning of this year, the company has produced more than 28,500 vehicle sets; 1.1 thousand of them were made in August.
