OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. OJSC KAMAZ published consolidated financial statements of KAMAZ Group of Companies according to RAS for the first half-year 2011. Thus, according to the results of the 1st half-year 2011, KAMAZ Group of Companies has earned a net profit of 139.9 million rubles. Revenues in January-June 2011 amounted to 48.816 billion rubles, which is 1.4 times more than for the same period of last year. Gross profit made 5.368 billion rubles, which is 1.8 times more than for the first half-year 2010. Profit before tax reached 440.5 million rubles, compared with a loss before tax of 664.4 million rubles in 2010.

The statements of the company were highly appreciated by the market analysts. For example, Kirill Markin, an analyst of Investcafe, said: "The positive financial results of KAMAZ Group in the first half-year 2011 are conditioned by several factors. Namely: KAMAZ heavily invests in renovation and modernization of production, improves the exterior of its trucks, as a result, consumers get high-quality products. In addition, in favor of KAMAZ is the fact that the share of foreign manufacturers in the Russian truck market is constantly fluctuating, giving the Group an opportunity to take the vacant niche with cheaper, but competitive vehicles."
