OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. Demikhovsky Engineering Plant (Moscow region, a part of CJSC Transmashholding) finished the supply of ED4MKM-AERO EMU train additional car sections to the operating company, LLC Aeroexpress.

The cars were handed over to the Customer in the framework of the contract for supply of 12 ED4MKM-AERO cars, signed on the 9th of November 2010. Initially, the delivery was planned in November of the current year, but it have been completed ahead of schedule. The batch, produced at DMZ, consists of 6 motor and 6 trailer passenger coaches.

LLC Aeroexpress intends to use ED4MKM-AERO additional sections for EMU trains, plying between Moscow railroad stations and airports, in order to increase EMU train passenger transportation capacity.

JSC DMZ has been working with Aeroexpress company since 2007. Electric multiple unit trains Aero, designated for intermodal transportation, were developed at Demikhovsky engineering Plant specially for Aeroexpress, taking into account all customer requirements. 56 coaches, composed of 7 EMU trains, were produced at the plant in the period from 2008 till 2009. ED4MKM-AERO trains provide comfortable conditions for the passengers, including telecommunication services, audio and video broadcasting, information support, eco-friendly lavatories. There are places for physically handicapped persons. The luggage of checked-in passengers is kept in the special car.
