OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. At the "ComTrans-2011" exhibition which will be held in Moscow next week, KAMAZ will present models of vehicles equipped with Euro 4 engines, as well as Euro 4 engines made both by KAMAZ and CUMMINS KAMA Joint Venture.

KAMAZ spent 2.5 billion rubles to develop a new type of an engine compliant with Euro 4. Besides, 300 million rubles were invested by the company in redesign of vehicles – production of samples and their subsequent certification.

According to Sergey Kogogin, General Director of OJSC KAMAZ, KAMAZ has always paid attention to environmental problems. "From the very beginning, we were supporters and initiators of a technical regulation setting environmental standards for vehicles and time of their introduction,” noted the head of the Russian automaker. "Upgrading and developing vehicles, KAMAZ has always adhered to the European standards, including environmental ones. KAMAZ heavily invested in production of such vehicles, reduction of the technology gap. Now we are testing our assembly conveyor and fine-tuning our production technology."
