OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2011. The towing operation of “Prirazlomnaya” offshore ice-resistant stationary platform in the oil field in Pechora sea started from the shipyard of the shipbuilding plant in Murmansk.

The icebreaker “Vladislav Strizhov” and transport and towing vessels “Kigoriak”, “Neptun” and “Eems” were engaged in transportation of the offshore ice-resistant stationary platform.

The towing of the platform to the oil field will take about two weeks. The length of the itinerary will be 1200 km. The platform will provide the required operations in the oil field: well drilling, mining, oil storage, preparation and shipment of the end product. The platform is fully adapted for work under harsh environmental conditions and is designed for the maximum ice loads. 

GSE OJSC acted as a General Contractor of mechanical and assembly works at the top of the platform, having done these works by its subsidiary - GSE Volgograd Firm “Neftezavodmontazh” LLC. Electrical works have been produced by “GSE SPETSNEFTEENERGOMONTAZHAVTOMATIKA” LLC.
